The minimum age is 15 years (12 for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
You need to be a PADI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization).
Why Advanced Open Water Diver?
After your five dives, you'll be more experienced, feel more comfortable in the water and simply enjoy diving more because you better understand the underwater environment. Also you’ll be licensed to dive to 100 ft (or 70 ft for Jr Advanced Open Water).
What will I do?
The Advanced Open Water Diver is made up of five Adventure Dives, including the Deep Adventure Dive, the Underwater Navigator Adventure Dive and three other Adventure dives which may include Search and Recovery, Night, Underwater Naturalist and Wreck. Or you can choose from the following:
Peak Performance Buoyancy
Digital Underwater Photographer
AWARE Fish Identification
How long will it take?
The course can be completed in as little as 2 days or one weekend, or the dives can be spread out over a number of weeks.
What does the course include?
The course price of $165 includes: Your Adventures in Diving Manual, Dive planning slate, and your PADI certification.
What do I need to provide?
You need to supply your own scuba gear (BCD, Regulator, Weight Belt, Weights, tanks, Snorkeling equipment)
Where can I go from here?
PADI Advanced Open Water Divers can enroll in PADI Wreck or Deep Diver
Specialty courses and continue on to the PADI Rescue Diver.
PADI Adventure Dives can also credit towards the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver certifications. Ask your instructor for more info
